Living in Queensland’s end of the Gold Coast

Hello all, we are back from a hiatus of a hiatus. We have been living abroad for a while now, and one of the most memorable periods of our trip has been living on the strip of beaches at the end of the Gold Coast: Kirra, Coolangatta, Rainbow Bay, Snapper Rocks and Tweed Heads, the latter located at the borderline of Queensland and New South Wales, Australia.

These shots summarize our stay, starting with one of my favourite places to walk to: The Point Danger Lookout, with views of Snapper rocks and Rainbow Bay

SAVE A BUCK OR TWO WHILE VISITING NEW YORK DURING WINTER

New York City is wonderful place to visit any time of the year including winter, yes you read it right: winter! Unquestionably there are several indoor attractions that are widely known such as the Empire State building, Broadway shows, museums like Guggenheim, MoMA, American Museum of National History among others. As you may know, the mentioned attractions would cost you more than a penny. But if you really want to save a buck or two, join me in this wonderful ride to discover indoor New York attractions during winter on a tight budget.

STAYING

First: arrange your stay. Try alternative outskirts and not necessarily Manhattan. Airbnb will get you private rooms for half price that of a regular hotel. Pay attention to the accessibility and make sure your place is located near a metro station. Don’t be shy, just make sure to read all the reviews and check the user’s history. We decided to stay in this lovely room located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Easy access and included a couch, a coffee table, a dresser and a double bed. Read more »
